Passerelles numériques (PN), a non-profit organization, is dedicated to enabling highly disadvantaged youths, through their abilities and their commitment, to access education and technical and vocational training, in the sector of Information Technology. We work to build strong employability which will allow them and their families to sustainably escape poverty, and contribute to the social and economic development of their countries.
 
Established in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam, Passerelles numériques currently trains 342 students and employs 98 people based in these three countries including a small team in France.
 
Passerelles numériques relies on the financial and skills sponsorship of several corporate partners such as Accenture, Econocom, Microsoft and Société Générale and also receives support from individual donors.
 
In the Philippines, Passerelles numériques started its mission in 2009, with a training center based in Cebu, in the central region of the Visayas. PN Philippines offers a two years and a half vocational training program for young people from underserved backgrounds.

Context and Mission
 
Building bridges and relations with external partners, and companies in particular, is in Passerelles numériques DNA.
 
PN was founded with the support of partner companies and foundations, and today it continues to develop its relations with existing partners as well as expanding its network and building new relationships.
 
Relations with partners can be at various levels. They include funding of programs, offering On the Job Training (OJT) or jobs to PN students or graduates, participating in the development of the curriculum, offering company visits, providing pro bono or volunteering missions supporting our action, in kind donations, and more!

Reporting to the External Relations Manager, the External Relations Officer is the one in charge with the On-the-job training (OJT) of the students as well as conducting the alumni assessment survey and company survey. The External Relations Officer also monitors the quality of the OJT for 10 months and deals with the partner companies. It is a crucial position to widen and maintain the relationship between PN and partner companies. It will also support the students on their way to their professional life.
 
External Relations
  • Facilitates the development of training workshops, project models and other materials to support partners in developing their collaboration, incorporating each partner’s culture, strengths and decision-making processes
  • Point of communication among PN Philippines partners and link them to one another
  • Prepares students for OJT by organizing forums, workshops and supplementary sessions. Monitors and evaluates the performance of students during OJT
  • Interacts with partner companies regularly by discussing OJT concerns, processes and tools
  • Ensures cordial and harmonious relationship between the organization, students and partner companies
  • Monitors ongoing OJT projects or campaigns and ensure that objectives are met
  • Evaluates effectiveness of OJT programs and make proposals on how to improve it
  • Organizes company visits to partner companies for PN Philippines scholars
  • Leads the Job Fair activity for the incoming OJT scholars participated by various partner companies
  • Performs other necessary task assigned by External Relations Manager
Evaluation of Project
  • Conducts and analyzes the Alumni Impact Assessment Survey and Company Survey to help evaluate the implementation of the project with the support of External Relations Manager
  • Provides status report and final report of the on-the-job training and job placement with the support of External Relations Manager
Administrative Task
  • Maintains and updates database of contacts for OJTs and alumni
  • Performs administrative tasks like preparing accurate and timely reports, transportation liquidation, reviewing OJT documents and monitoring of OJT performance
  • Completes the OJT Memorandum of Agreement with partners
  • Composes minutes of meeting and documentation of events
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • EDUCATION
    • A bachelor degree holder preferably in the field of Business Administration, Information Technology or any other related degree
  • PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
    • NGO, Business or IT background is a plus
  • SKILLS
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office : Excel, Word, Powerpoint
    • Must be familiar with Google tools
    • Willing to work in an NGO set-up
    • Very good organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
    • Can work with less supervision and can take up new challenges
  • LANGUAGES
    • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
