The Sales Development Officer is our handshake, our first impression, our foot in the door and our best foot forward all rolled into one.  He/ she must represent the best of the Company and its values; living and breathing it especially in the premises of other companies.
The value the business developer brings is three-fold. He has a genuine desire to see other companies succeed through our technology and services; which brings us more business and opens more opportunities for everyone in the company. Resilience is an expectation.  Not all communication with leads and prospects will be a "walk in the park," but the he/ she is expected to manage adversity maturely and gracefully.
As our Sales Development Officer you will:
  • Qualify a potential client's business model, clientele, processes and determine if the agency or client is a potential match as a partner or customer,
  • Become the primary point of contact and representative of the company during the intake process.He or she will respond in a timely manner to all communication from clients with a minimum requirement of same day response,
  • Be expected to proactively communicate with the client and all communication must include a revisit date or a committed date of delivery,
  • Be responsible for educating the client on our methodology, technology, the industry and our processes,
  • Be accountable to responsible launch of all activities related to their clients' campaigns and shall escalate delays to management in a timely manner; and
  • Identify opportunities for augmenting the campaign performance by recommending stronger work levels or additional services that will drive better traffic and revenue to the target business
  • 3 years experience in Sales or Account Management
  • Has a strong sales history with measurable performance standards in conversion, margin and overall revenue
  • Has historically matched fixed income with variable income (sales commissions are equal to or in excess of base pay)
  • Familiarity with defined sales techniques and strategies
  • Good working knowledge of current internet technologies
  • Strong ability to communicate, engage and overcome objections
  • Ability to communicate across all employment levels (staff or managers)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to details, critical thinking and learning abilities
  • Excellent presentation skills with confidence presenting findings, analysis and information
Not required but nice to have:
  • Exposure to western cultures (either travelling, education or working abroad)
  • Work experience with e-commerce companies (.com’s)
  • Exposure to programming language
  • An understanding of Digital Marketing
