Southern Unicoast Innoventure Corporation is a growing distributor of canned tuna meals based in Mandaue City, Cebu. We are seeking an accountant with strong expertise to enable us to set up and run our accounting processes.

As an Accounting Manager, you will be establishing our accounting processes and later on the accounting team. Key process include but are not limited to the following:
 
BILLLING
  • Monthly reporting for billing preparation
  • Invoice checking
  • Account Receivable and payables reconciliation
PAYABLES
  • Monthly budget, quarterly and yearly projections preparations
  • Payment requests before approvals
  • Payroll Audit
  • Monthly bank reconciliation of relevant bank accounts
FINANCIAL REPORTING
  • Monthly general journal entries, accruals
  • Preparation of detailed monthly reports on Cost vs Revenue, Costing, P/L Analysis, Manpower hours and costs etc.
  • Consolidation of Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements
STATUTORY COMPLIANCE
  • Preparation and filing of monthly,  quarterly and annual tax returns and reports for relevant government agencies (BIR, City Hall, SEC, etc.)
  • Preparation of year-end  annualization report, alpha list and other BIR reports
  • Checking of monthly remittance reports to SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig
  • Coordination with Accounting Consultant (if any) and/or Auditor for year-end financial audit
  • Attends to BIR, City Hall and other government compliances audit
OTHERS
  • Set up Accounting System
  • Set up Charts of Accounts
  • Develop Accounting Forms
  • Develop Accounting Policies/Procedures later on if needed or as the company grow
  • Other responsibilities not articulated here but deemed appropriate and needed by the company
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with CPA license
  • At least 3-5 years work experience in Accounting
  • Knowledgeable in SAP accounting system
  • Preferably with experience in cost accounting
  • Competencies across the Accounting cycle, with a willingness to learn and adapt with possible complexities in new company
  • Strong sense of integrity, discipline, attention to detail and organization. Good collaboration skills with other departments
  • People management experience is a preference but not a must
  • Other reponsibilities not articulated here but deemed appropriate and needed by the company
