BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER are employed by companies to develop and execute strategies to increase company sales and profits. They identify profitable business opportunities, secure sound business deals, and lead business development associates.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and sustaining solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers
  • Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
  • recruiting, training, and guiding business development staff.
  • Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning.
  • Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Meeting with potential investors to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
  • Collaborating with company executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities.
  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Vendor management for publishing and marketing services
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
  • With atleast 1 year of Supervisory Level
  • Experience in sales, marketing or related field
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency
  • ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
  • excellent organizational skills
  • ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
