We are looking to hire a CAD Operator to draft detailed drawings for our cabinets. The CAD Operator's responsibilities include understanding written and verbal instructions, studying appliances and cabinet mechanisms installation instruction manuals, drafting technical shop drawings, implementing feedback from engineers and architects, visitings sites, keeping up-to-date with CAD software, and working long hours to meet deadlines. 
To be successful as a CAD Operator, you should be willing to study and learn the cabinet structure and specifications. You should have sound knowledge of drafting standards and labelling. Outstanding CAD Operators are disciplined, open to collaboration, and also possess detailed drawing skills
  • Interpreting project briefs and meeting with clients and project leaders to ensure all shop drawings are completed to specifications.
  • Produces Cutting List (CL) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for cabinet production Conducts actual site measurements, takes photos and gather information pertinent to the project.
  • Ensuring shop drawings are compliant to cabinet standards.
  • Updating and filing files to designated project folders.
  • Conducting research when required Communicating potential design issues to department heads.
  • Any graduates of Associate’s Degree in Drafting or similar or Architecture and Interior Design
  • Knowledgeable in furniture constructions and preparation of cutting list.
  • Practical experience with CAD software.
  • Knowledgeable in standard drafting techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
