QA ENGINEER (SELENIUM/CUCUMBER)

Location: Taguig

Setup: WFH

Schedule: Night Shift

Start Date: April 1

Qualifications:

• At least 3 to 5 years on the following:

  • Test Automation

  • Selenium

  • API testing using Postman

  • Cucumber

  • Playwright is a plus/ Candidates must be able to adapt to playwright

  • Good Communication skills

• Outside Metro Manila/Cebu/Davao candidates are welcome to apply.

Duties: 

• Responsible for building test plans, testing strategy for various Java and applications 

• Build and implement Automation testing strategy 

• Build, implement, and execute performance testing for the full stack of application 

• Perform Regression and Integration test 

• Execute performance test using tools like Performance Center, Load Generators, Analyzer and JMeter(preferred) 

• Understand the various key Analytics on Dynatrace to get the status of applications. 

• Develop a strong understanding of the domain and IT application to perform hands-on testing on various enterprise architecture applications and interfaces 

• Develop and set automation framework 

• Manage defect life cycle and create reports for project stakeholders 

• Utilize Agile methodologies, Rally & ADO tool to accomplish testing goals 

Skills & Knowledge 

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree is preferred; experience with operations research optimization techniques is a plus 

• Must be well-versed in software development life cycle methodologies with emphasis on Agile product development including incorporation of Quality Assurance & Testing techniques 

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and UML is preferred 

• Experience in testing Java, HTML and CSS 

• Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, ADO, HPE Load Runner, java scripting; experience in Playwright is a plus 

• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology 

• Experience in Restful web-services automation testing 

• Experience with Load Runner, Performance center administrative capability 

• Experience with Unix/Linux commands 

• Experience with ADX and building reports 

• Ability to lead discussions of 3 Amigos to identify and document test scenarios and results 

• Practiced at build data driven scenarios used in unit test cases. 

• Understands 'shitf-left' unit testing inside the CI/CD delivery pipeline. (e.g. virulizing all cloud resources) 

• Practiced using JMeter for long running API tests. 

• Understands how to measure and profile compute consumption during component testing 

• Airline industry - Preferred 

• Experience with native SABRE commands and Sabre Host Emulator – Preferred 

• Some Software Engineering background preferred: 

• Knowledge and proficiency with Foundational Object Oriented Design and Programming; translating User Stories into software design constructs using UML; Writing JUnit tests that operate inside the CI/CD build pipeline and leverage Virtualization and other techniques to stub out resource dependencies 

• Good knowledge of the gang of four patterns, OOPS, SOLID principles, so that the architectural visions can be translated to effective code minimizing the dependencies 

• Opportunity to optimize the development/developer experience (reusable component, Design Patterns, modularization, SOLID, testing practices, abstraction and encapsulation, readability principles) 

• Quick to reach out for help when blocked to keep development flow moving quickly 

• Should have good troubleshooting skills, to be able to quickly help identify the root cause of the issue
