Is currently looking for:
ELECTRICAL AIDE
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support the installation of solar panels, ensuring proper wiring and connections.
Aid in the mounting and racking of solar panels on support structures.
Assist in organizing and managing electrical cables for solar panel interconnection.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of battery storage systems if applicable.
Support the installation of monitoring systems for tracking solar power production.
Assist with grounding and bonding procedures to ensure system safety.
Conduct visual inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of electrical installations.
Assist in testing the electrical systems to ensure they meet performance standards.
Perform basic maintenance on electrical equipment used in solar power generation.
Adhere to safety protocols specific to solar plant operations, including high voltage awareness.
Maintain accurate records of installation activities, testing results, and any maintenance performed.
Communicate effectively with the solar installation team and follow instructions from supervisors.
Ensure that all electrical work complies with environmental regulations and sustainable practices.
Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as electrical failures or safety incidents.
Handle and operate specialized tools and equipment used in solar power installations.
Embrace and follow sustainability practices related to solar power generation.
Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and technicians, to achieve project goals.
Stay informed about advancements in solar technology and electrical standards
Ensure that all electrical work adheres to relevant electrical codes and standards.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent with NCII certificate in electrical wiring
Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring.
Understanding of the principles of solar power generation and solar panel technology.
Awareness of safety regulations and protocols, particularly those related to electrical work and solar installations.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices related to solar power.
Ability to perform basic calculations and work with measurements relevant to electrical installations.
Skills:
Proficiency in using hand tools and basic electrical equipment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
Clear communication skills to convey information and report issues effectively.
Ability to identify and address basic issues in electrical installations.
Thoroughness in performing tasks and ensuring accuracy in work.
Experience:
Some hands-on experience in electrical work or construction may be preferred.
Experience in solar panel installation or related work can be advantageous.
Participation in internships or apprenticeships related to electrical work or solar installations.
