GRASS CUTTER PERSONNEL

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate lawn mowers to cut grass in designated areas, ensuring an even and neat appearance.

• Use trimmers and edgers to maintain the edges of walkways, structures, and other areas where the lawn mower may not reach.

• Identify and remove weeds from the landscape to prevent interference with the solar panels or other equipment.

• Apply herbicides as necessary to control weed growth in specific areas, following safety and environmental guidelines.

• Rake and remove leaves and debris to maintain a clean and orderly appearance

• Collect and dispose of litter and trash in designated bins.

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment and working in the outdoor environment.

• Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or issues related to the grounds to supervisors.

• Conduct regular inspections of grass-cutting equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any issues for timely repairs.

• Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, such as cleaning and lubrication.

• Coordinate with other groundskeeping personnel and communicate effectively with supervisors.

• Collaborate with other plant personnel to ensure that groundskeeping activities do not interfere with the solar plant's operations.

• Follow sustainable landscaping practices, considering environmental impact and resource conservation.

• Be prepared to respond to emergencies, following established protocols.

• Maintain records of groundskeeping activities, including dates of service and any observations relevant to the landscape.

• Adjust groundskeeping activities based on seasonal variations and weather conditions.

Qualifications:

• Basic education is often required for this role.

Knowledge:

• Understanding of landscaping principles and groundskeeping practices.

• Basic knowledge of plant species to distinguish between desired vegetation and weeds.

Skills:

• Proficiency in using grass-cutting equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and edgers.

• Ability to cut grass with precision and pay attention to detail for a neat and well-maintained appearance.

• Adherence to safety protocols while operating equipment and working in the outdoor environment.

• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged periods of standing and operating equipment.

• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report any issues or concerns.

Experience:

• Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a similar role is beneficial.

• Experience in operating lawnmowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools and equipment.

• Familiarity with outdoor maintenance tasks, such as grass cutting, weed control, and general landscape upkeep.
