ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
 
Job Summary
An Accounting Supervisor ensures that financial operations are monitored and accounting principles are greatly adhered. The responsibility includes checking and validating stock payables and expenses. He / She checks amounts and invoices if it coincides with the figures in the systems utilized.
 
Functions:
Approval of Sales Order
Evaluates Customer Credit Issued (AR) and forwards the Sales Order to Sales Associate for invoicing once there’s no past due.
Makes sure there is no past due accounts reflected in the Account Receivable Balances before granting another credit for credit accounts.
Summary of Collection (Cash, On Date and PDC)
Makes sure cash and checks are remitted/ deposited to Cash and Check custodian every following day for office collections.
Makes sure post-dated checks are not being applied until it is already credited to the passbook/account.
Monitoring of Account Receivables Including Bounced Checks
Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable (need to be Deducted to ageing per account)
Confirms to warehouse in-charge if return is already received and deduction should be made after the acknowledgement by warehouse in-charge of the returns (Good/Bad).
Confirmation of Past Due Accounts
Calls customers/accounts for unpaid invoices from previous months (tele-collection) especially when mode of payment is cash.
Payables
Expenses
Tax Compliance
Validation of data related to Financial Statements
Makes summary/list of hold accounts and forwards the same to the sales supervisor.
Supervise staff under Accounting Department
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
A graduate of B.S Accountancy, or Finance
Preferably with at least 2 Year Experience in any Accounting-related work, experience in A/R, A/P and Payroll
With analytical skills; must be a team player; with technical competence
Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software
Good communication, organizational skills
With leadership skills
