IT SPECIALIST - NETWORK & SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION

 

Job Summary:

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's network infrastructure and systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role requires a strong understanding of network protocols, server administration, and IT security best practices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, operating systems, and software applications.

  • Monitor network performance and security, and implement necessary upgrades and patches.

  • Ensure data integrity, backup, and disaster recovery procedures are in place and operational.

  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems and applications.

  • Collaborate with IT team members and Clients to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.

  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.

  • Document network configurations, system changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, and assist with IT projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Network & System Administrator or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.

  • Experience with server administration in Windows and Linux environments.

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.

  • Experience with network security concepts and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders

  • Willing to work on a HYBRID setup (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH)
