Established in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines in 1983, Mactan Rock Industries Inc. started as an industrial chemical manufacturer specializing in water treatment chemicals and industrial preventive maintenance chemicals. As the company grew, it began trading in water softeners, demineralizers and ion exchange resins. In just over five (5) years, it metamorphosed from its modest beginnings to a complete water and wastewater treatment company.

LABORATORY ANALYST

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Male or female

• Licensed chemist or chemical technician

• BS Chemistry or BS Chemistry Physics or any allied course graduate

• Fresh graduate may apply

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quality monitoring & conduct of QC of raw materials, packaging materials & finished goods against standard parameters per sample.

• Quality monitoring of trading chemicals including packing prior to delivery

• Monitors water quality of in house and outside clients based on an approved request for analysis

• Performs Physico-chemical parameters analysis for water and wastewater samples. (ex BOD, Oil and Grease, pH, TSS,TDS etc)

• Maintaining the necessary records of results and reports.

• Prepares and standardize lab reagents for trading, laboratory & technical analysts’ use.

• Calibrates laboratory equipment/apparatus as per schedule

• Consolidates and graphs (trend charts) all results of analysis for finish goods every 25 samples

• Monitors laboratory supplies and consumables and makes request for purchase when consumed

• Conducts inventory of reagents & apparatus. Updates monthly reagents withdrawal every end of the month

• Maintain DENR  & DOH Accreditation

• Maintain safe & pollution free environment that complies DENR standards
