The Role

 

Our HR Managers are responsible for all aspects of HR in their region.  They are the conduit between the regions and the global People & Culture team, helping to deliver our ambitious transformation people strategy that supports the long-term growth and performance of the business.  They are the guardians of HR policy, employee experience and culture in their regions and ensure local compliance and controls across the employment lifecycle.

 

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager with strong track record in employee relations and case management who is a great problem solver and brings high-quality pragmatic HR solutions across the APAC region, specifically Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong.  You will have experience of leading in all aspects of the human resource function, including recruiting, policy development, benefits, and compensation, EEO, wage/salary management, employee relations, while driving and maintaining legal compliance. Experience supporting Mergers and Acquisitions would be advantageous.

 

Responsibilities  

  • Provide a pro-active and responsive ‘single point of contact’ interface to the business leaders, ensuring successful and continuous delivery of HR related services.

  • Support the client groups in the APAC region  in delivering the performance management process on time and to a high standard.

  • Support with local recruitment, onboarding, Talent initiatives and all employee life cycle processes creating a positive employee experience. Oversee compensation and benefits administration of each region, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with local statutory benefits, and administration of company global benefits.

  • Provide local support with mergers or acquisitions, business restructures or on business change projects.

  • Work with line managers to successfully resolve escalated employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans.

  • Provide coaching and training to managers on HR-related issues, processes and policies as needed.

  • Interpret and apply a full range of relevant policies and laws. Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment of HR processes and strategies across regions.

  • Lead and coordinate HR projects as required.

  • Occasional travel to Singapore and Hong Kong will be required to support the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or related field.  HR Certification or equivalent experience is a plus.

  • Proven experience as an in the Asia-Pacific region preferably in the Philippines, Singapore, and/or Hong Kong.

  • Strong knowledge of local employment laws, legal and tax requirements.

  • Proven experience working with in a fast-paced environment, partnering closely with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.

  • Flexible personal style, proven ability to influence at all levels of an organisation and challenge thinking in an appropriate, useful way.

  • Experience or desire to work within a truly international team.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Process, data-driven yet comfortable operating with unknowns/emerging priorities.

  • Project Management and Business Partnering skills.

  • Excellent IT skills (advanced Excel and PowerPoint), HRIS knowledge.
